Traditional Bread Stuffing with Mashed Maine Potatoes


8 slices dry white bread, cubed
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped celery
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup mashed Maine potatoes
½ cup hot water
1 tablespoon Bell’s poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Melt butter in frying pan, sauté onions and celery until golden.
  2. Place cubed dry bread in large bowl, add sauted vegetables, mashed potatoes, water and seasonings.  Mix well. 
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
